Great connections are key for logistics hub Luxembourg

🛣️ Finally! People that are familiar, know that I burn for the Luxembourg supply chain hub and its competence. With over 25 years in industry, I know how service providers go every extra mile to keep the customer happy.

But lack of infrastructure can limit an excellent service. It is a governments duty “to make it happen.” Our former green ministery of transport Bausch, stated in a meeting in November 2017 with all concerned stakeholders in Contern: “That he would never have installed any industrial zoning here”. He was very resistant to build “any” roads. Luckily for many jobs since 1962, former governments saw this differently.

Finally after almost never-ending discussions for better access for the Contern logistics hub to the A1 – for me since 2017- now there is hope.

🏭 The industrial and logistics zone of Contern could expect a second highway access to A1. For companies Kuehne+Nagel DHL Global Forwarding DHL UPS Dussmann Group DuPont Contern Contern SA and others, that should mean less traffic jams. Even the access for public transport including all inhabitants will be easier!

According to the article published on 30.November 2024 in WORT, we expect to have proper plans by 2026. Almost 6’000 jobs will soon hope that property status are sorted out quickly. A connection bridge and road link with the Itzig, Sandweiler and Contern finished before the end of the decade!
